Climate change is a global concern. However, their effects are not uniform but specific due to the particular characteristics of each region. The paper analyzes the effects and long-term trend of climate change in Benin. To do this, the article uses a methodological approach based on a synthesis of the literature relating to the analysis of the effects of climate change and the calculation of indicators. The results showed that (i) Benin remains a humid zone although already close to the characteristics of a semi-humid zone; (ii) in a long-term perspective, rainfall tends to be constant around their average trend and finally (iii) the areas of Cotonou and Kandi are the most arid.
