Abstract

Since the advent of GNSS receivers, new methods of operation have been put in place, many of which offer many advantages in several fields, particularly in construction projects. Despite these various advantages, some uncertainties are based on the use of GNSS receivers in the implementation of polygonation. The objective of the study was to define the problem of setting up a construction study polygonation with a GNSS receiver. Literature search, data collection, data processing, analysis and recommendation were the four steps in the methodological approach. The data collected show that it was indeed possible to set up a construction study polygonation with a GNSS receiver while respecting the tolerance standards accepted for projects. These results had accuracy of less than 1 cm compared to the survey with a total station. The study proposed to use static mode with a duration of 1 hour at each point in the absence of an internet connection for the use of NTRIP mode. The NTRIP mode was much faster, but was highly dependent on the availability of the internet connection. Both methods offer good accuracy compared to the total station placement method. The completion of this study offers a new option to set up construction study polygonation with a GNSS receiver in a much faster way.
